Reviewers Impressed by the Refreshed 2018 Ford F-150

Where the 2017 iteration was recently named the hottest car of the summer, the 2018 Ford F-150 seems poised to one-up it in every way. Between updates to nearly every engine, a new transmission, and fresh equipment and looks, the changes might seem minor at first blush. But reviewers can’t stop talking about how even these small updates have raised the bar.

In addition to seven different grille treatments, new features like 4G LTE WiFi, expanded safety technology, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system, the biggest news are the powertrain upgrades. Highlights include a new 3.3-liter V6 as base engine, which is slated to make 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, with fuel economy improvements across the board. The popular 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 now gets 400 lb-ft of torque, and up to 26 mpg highway in FWD. Although not updated, the twin-turbo V6’s best-in-class max towing rises to 13,200 lbs. That’s going to be the number to beat until next spring, when Ford adds a long-pined-after turbodiesel V6 to the range.

There’s something for everyone in the updated 2018 F-150. You can find out more by watching the video above, or consulting the experts at our Ford dealership in Winchester, VA. Contact us to get all the details, or schedule a test drive.
