For nearly a year, we've heard the performance specs of the Ford Focus RS like a prophecy of impending Armageddon: 350 horsepower. 350 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive. An arsenal of performance enhancements. Well, Armageddon is nigh (for competing hot hatches, at least), for the automotive news gauntlet has finally been able to try it out.
This report comes by way of Autotrader, who got a chance to drive the new RS on road and track. They noted that the car has been put through a pretty rigorous testing gauntlet to iron out all the kinks (as we've seen in Ford's recent video series). Throughout, they touch on different technologies and how they contribute to making this one kick-butt car.
