Who Qualifies?
Military Personnel
- Active Military: Individuals currently serving on active duty in any U.S. Military Branch. This includes National Guard members and Reservists on active orders, participants in the Delayed Entry/Enlistment Program (DEP), and their spouses, surviving spouses, and other members of the same household.
- Retirees: Former service members who have retired from an eligible U.S. Military Branch, including Regular, Reserve, Early (TERA), or Medical Retirement. Eligibility also extends to spouses, surviving spouses, and household members.
- Veterans: Veterans who received an honorable discharge and are within 24 months of separation from military service.
First Responders
- Law Enforcement: Active law enforcement personnel at the federal, state, or local level. This includes police officers, sheriffs and deputy sheriffs, state troopers, correctional and detention officers (including those in private, for-profit facilities), federal law enforcement officers (such as Customs & Border Protection Officers or Air Marshals), park police and rangers, probation and parole officers, pretrial services officers, bridge and tunnel officers, railroad police, school resource officers, auxiliary or reserve officers, credentialed animal control officers, certified fire marshals with law enforcement authority, and court bailiffs or court officers with law enforcement credentials.
- Fire Service Professionals: Career firefighters at the federal, state, or local level, as well as volunteer firefighters, wildland firefighters, prescribed burn managers, and fire marshals.
- Emergency Medical Services: Certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), paramedics, and medical helicopter pilots.
- Emergency Communications Personnel: 911 and emergency dispatch professionals, including police, fire, sheriff, and EMS dispatchers, fire communications officers, and public safety telecommunicators.
